How does your customer submit a product review?

Showcasing product reviews is one of the main functions that the Scuti Shopify app serves. For doing so, the first step is to ask customers to write reviews. In addition to providing high-quality products and services, having a seamless product-review process is key to a successful product review campaign. At Scuti, we always try to meticulously design the best UI for customers’ journeys so that the customers can get the job done with minimum friction. When we design an interface, the main things that we pay attention to are (1) Simplicity, (2) Asking for minimum information, and (3) a straightforward, non-confusing process.

Using our Shopify product review app, your customer can write and submit a (photo) review in two ways: (1) Review request email, (2) “Write a review” button.

Review request email

  1. Customer successfully places an order.
  2. After a specific number of days (or even immediately), the customer receives an email that encourages them to write a review. Below is an example of such an email. Note that you can either choose to reward the customer or ask for reviews without a reward.

  1. After the customer clicks on the “Write a review” button for a specific product, a product review form is open as below. Unlike other Shopify product review apps, Scuti’s review form has just one step and without asking for extra information like Review Title. As shown below, all a customer needs to do is to (1) Upload a photo (optional), (2) rate from 1 to 5 stars, (3) write a review with a minimum of 4 characters.After the customer clicks on the “Write a review” button for a specific product, a product review form is open as below.   1. Once the review is submitted, the review is either automatically published on the product page or sent to your dashboard for manual approval, depending on your campaign settings.
  2. (Only in campaigns with a reward for reviews): If you’ve set up a reward for writing reviews in your campaign settings, the discount code is displaced to the customer after submitting the review as shown below. Note that you have always the option to manage your reviews using certain actions like Reply to reviews, Hide the review, etc.

  1. From a product page, click on the “Write a review” button on the review widget.

  1. Next, a one-step form similar to the one from the review request email is open. As shown below, we ask for the customer’s name and email address in addition to uploading a photo, rating, and writing a review.
